Yoanna Laskova

Yoanna Laskova

Yoanna Laskova’s practice is rooted in a deep exploration of memory, heritage, and the shifting notion of home. Working primarily with glass, photography, and drawing, she seeks to create visual spaces where personal and collective histories can surface and resonate. Each material she chooses speaks differently—glass with its fragility and transparency, photography with its ability to freeze time, and drawing with its immediacy and intimacy.

“I am drawn to the quiet moments that reveal something deeper: a remembered gesture, a family object, a landscape that no longer exists. Through my work, I attempt to trace these intangible elements, often blurring the line between what is remembered and what is imagined. These gestures are not only personal but are part of broader, intergenerational narratives that shape identity and belonging.”
